Eddy Chartier’s first solo show is a series of canvas paintings and watercolours  around the theme of the creative act.

His work refers just as much to the 15th and 16th century icons of Saint  Anthony and the melancholy of western art, as to the news images freely  available on the internet.

Eddy Chartier, with more than a hint of irony, uses himself as a model to tackle  issues such as doubt, the agony of creation, solitude or abnegation.
